So I FINALLY got a new matching couch/loveseat set. Can I just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE KSl classifieds? I have been looking for the perfect (which entails something I like and has the right price tag, not an easy task) living room set since we bought our place. I finally found it. They are brand new. Cody and I had to put them together ourselves but it was well worth it. Of course we did run into one slight problem, 2 missing screws! Do not fear, Lowes and a little hard work on my part fixed that problem. They are perfect and I love them. I also finished painting my living room. Many thanks to my mom for all her help. I have also gotten the first coat of paint on Ella's play room so that should be done soon. Basically I love our house now. Cody said today, "Wow, this place looks like a home." Success! We can officially have people over and have a place for everyone to sit. OH and our super nice friend gave us a free carpet remnant from his carpet store that REALLY helps the look get pulled together. I love my house now even more with all the improvements we are making! Hooray!
Ella seriously needs more toys. We were at Jennie's house today, who has a bizillion toys, and Ella was in heaven. Then tonight I catch her climbing on her toys rather than playing with it like she is suppose to. She is such a mischievous little monkey! Good thing Christmas and her birthday are coming cuz oh boy she needs some more entertainment. I also need to get her play house done pronto! She is so silly and funny, I hope that I can find some toys that she will love and climb on safely.

So I had a genius idea! I am a little obsessive about new projects if you haven't noticed. So anyways my latest idea and project is making Ella a playhouse. I am going to use the little room under the stairs and turn it in to Ella's own little play house. My current plan is to paint some windows on the walls and paint a fireplace as well with a cute mantel and some flowers. I am thinking I will get her a play kitchen and a cute bean bag for her to curl up next to the fireplace. I am not sure what color to do for the walls or if there would be something more fun and exciting than what I am thinking. Cody wants me to paint a jungle.. ummm not that talented as cool as that would be. Lets remember I am HORRIBLE at drawing but I am ready to challenge myself for this project. Does anyone have any fun ideas for Ella's new play house? I am not ultra creative and this project can be as crazy as I want. Let me know if you have any great ideas for me. Thanks and I hope this gets done by her birthday (Dec), so pics will come then.
Yay for Halloween. I hate halloween but man it sure is so much more fun when you have a cute little girl to dress up. Here is just a preview of our little Halloween adventures. Ella loves free candy.. suckers mostly. Lets just say somehow all the chocolate is disappearing as well... hmm.. Love you snuggle bug Ella, you are one cute monkey!

Well Cody and I had a very fun weekend until it came to Saturday night. No, I am not referring to the BYU loss. That was sad but this next story is much sadder. Cody and I both managed to get the flu at about 1 am last night. How romantic right? Sharing the flu together? Well thankfully we are starting to feel better. My mom came and got Ella which was a huge blessing. We were pretty incapacitated there for a while. Being sick together is annoying yet kinda funny. Its annoying because we are both too exhausted to help the other person.. you know get the water and saltines.. its funny cuz we just joke around about being sick and can definitely feel each others pain. Overall being sick is horrible and disgusting but hopefully this is our once a year flu that we will not see again for quite some time!
The house is painted and I have moved on to my next round of projects! I am really enjoying decorating. It makes me love my little house so much more. Crafts and projects truly make me happy so I am glad I have found so many!
$5 find at a garage sale. I remembered to take the picture when I started painting. It is just an oak table and I sanded down (along with help from my mom and Jennie) props to Jennie, hand-sanding that thing made the nastiest sound EVER. We were both cringing as we sanded, thanks Jennie.

The finished project!

An awesome clock that is built on my wall. I want to add something more to it, maybe the rest of the numbers, a cute vinyl saying, pictures? Haven't decided, any suggestions?

Overall I am having a lot of fun and my house is really coming together.
