More Projects

So I had a genius idea! I am a little obsessive about new projects if you haven't noticed. So anyways my latest idea and project is making Ella a playhouse. I am going to use the little room under the stairs and turn it in to Ella's own little play house. My current plan is to paint some windows on the walls and paint a fireplace as well with a cute mantel and some flowers. I am thinking I will get her a play kitchen and a cute bean bag for her to curl up next to the fireplace. I am not sure what color to do for the walls or if there would be something more fun and exciting than what I am thinking. Cody wants me to paint a jungle.. ummm not that talented as cool as that would be. Lets remember I am HORRIBLE at drawing but I am ready to challenge myself for this project. Does anyone have any fun ideas for Ella's new play house? I am not ultra creative and this project can be as crazy as I want. Let me know if you have any great ideas for me. Thanks and I hope this gets done by her birthday (Dec), so pics will come then.

Halloween Preview

Yay for Halloween. I hate halloween but man it sure is so much more fun when you have a cute little girl to dress up. Here is just a preview of our little Halloween adventures. Ella loves free candy.. suckers mostly. Lets just say somehow all the chocolate is disappearing as well... hmm.. Love you snuggle bug Ella, you are one cute monkey!

Yuck!

Well Cody and I had a very fun weekend until it came to Saturday night. No, I am not referring to the BYU loss. That was sad but this next story is much sadder. Cody and I both managed to get the flu at about 1 am last night. How romantic right? Sharing the flu together? Well thankfully we are starting to feel better. My mom came and got Ella which was a huge blessing. We were pretty incapacitated there for a while. Being sick together is annoying yet kinda funny. Its annoying because we are both too exhausted to help the other person.. you know get the water and saltines.. its funny cuz we just joke around about being sick and can definitely feel each others pain. Overall being sick is horrible and disgusting but hopefully this is our once a year flu that we will not see again for quite some time!

Projects

The house is painted and I have moved on to my next round of projects! I am really enjoying decorating. It makes me love my little house so much more. Crafts and projects truly make me happy so I am glad I have found so many!

$5 find at a garage sale. I remembered to take the picture when I started painting. It is just an oak table and I sanded down (along with help from my mom and Jennie) props to Jennie, hand-sanding that thing made the nastiest sound EVER. We were both cringing as we sanded, thanks Jennie.

The finished project!

An awesome clock that is built on my wall. I want to add something more to it, maybe the rest of the numbers, a cute vinyl saying, pictures? Haven't decided, any suggestions?

Overall I am having a lot of fun and my house is really coming together.

Home Improvement

Ok so I was serious about house improvement and so the paint has been bought and walls attacked! The kitchen is finished thanks to babysitting help by my mom and sister, and my own late night hours of work. Painting a house is sure a lot more difficult with a baby. The dining room is half done and the family room is well... on the list. I really love the change and it was a very inexpensive one at that. The other pictures are just of Ella cuz she is so darn cute. I was organizing her closet and found her tutu again so I had to take pictures. She is just the cutest little bean I ever have seen. She love love loves her daddy!

Ode to my sisters

My sisters are the best if I do say so myself! Today is Kristi's 30th birthday!! I just want her to know how much I love and appreciate her. For those of you who don't know her, just know that she is probably 3 times if not 4 times cooler than me. I know! She must be pretty cool right? I love her fun-loving attitude about life. Thanks Kristi for always making those around you so happy. I hope you have a great day. I do want to give another shout out for my other equally wonderful sister, Jennie. She is a phenomenal musician. I don't even think that word does her justice but just trust me on this one. She has multiple CD's and has just got her blog up and running. Everyone should check it out (ony my side reel called Jennie's music blog). Her CD's are fantastic gifts and should definitely be added to your playlist as well. I think she is even on itunes now? Well these are my 2 great sisters that I love and look up to for ALMOST everything. Love you guys, thank you for your advice and zeal for life!

FHE at the Temple

We had a fun FHE at the Temple this week. Ella mostly just wanted to steal our pizza we brought for dinner and play on daddy's shoulders. She loves her daddy so much. I am grateful that we have so many beautiful temples nearby to enjoy. I am also so grateful that I can be sealed to all my family for eternity!! I can't imagine being without Ella... or Cody of course, forever. Ella is the most precious gift possible.

I have to say this was definitely one of the better Halloweens that I can remember. First off, I was happy that Cody indulged me on my silly tradition of decorating sugar cookies, he did quite a good job this year I must say, and the cookies were quite tasty. For work, we all dressed up as pirates with the head doc being Jack Sparrow. It was suprisingly a lot of fun considering I hate dressing up. He took us out to Applebees for lunch where we got a sweet pic of almost all the staff. Halloween night, Cody and I decided to head to Tuacahn in St. George to experience Thriller. It was a lot of fun. There were creepy zombies at the beginning and intermission who walked around just staring at you about an inch away from your face... weirdos! Overall Halloween was really fun considering we are so not the Halloween types. Now we have my two personal favorite holidays just around the corner, "stuff your face full day" and Christmas!!!
